This page contains the various ships I was stationed on during
my Navy career from 1977-1996
This is the USS Ranger CV-61. I was station on her from 1977
until 1979.

This is the USS Enterprise. I was stationed on her
from 1979 until 1981.

Then came the USS Juneau LPD-10. I was attached to
her from 1981 until 1983.
From there I went to the Navy Brig in San Diego and spent
one year as a Corrections
Officer and 2 years a a Correctional Counselor. Then
it was back to sea for me.
Next was the USS Ramsey FFG-2. I was on her from 1986
until we decomissioned
her in 1989. She now rests on the bottom of the ocean
having been used as a target
during Sinkex 2002. Download the Movie of her demise.

Next came the Jolly "J" a tender. Not sure why the
detailer gods sent me there
I never asked for tender duty! I spent 2 years on here
from 1989 until 1991 when
I was due for shore duty again. I was asked to go to
FT. McClellan, Alabama as
an Instructor for the Correctional Counseling School.
While there I made Chief
Petty Officer and took over as course manager. It was
probably the best duty I had
as it changed my future and is why I now live in and love
Alabama. Well three years
passed by and it was time to head to sea again. I was
supposed to go to the USS England
CG-22 when I got a call from the XO that they had received
their Decommissioning
orders.
So I ended up on the USS Anchorage LSD-36. I spent
the remainder of my
career there from 1993 until I retired January 1, 1996.
